Creative Review
When Creative Review challenged its readers to redesign a feature on Michel Gondry, I decided give it a try. I had to re-key the text, copying the original printed article, and scan the pages for the images. I set up a new grid, and typeset and designed the article from scratch, and finally sent in my press-ready pdf. My design was chosen from amongst hundreds of other entries, and published the following month.
Pearson Baccalaureate Brochure Design
I created this brochure for Pearson’s marketing department, to promote their new International Baccalaureate series. In addition to the design and typesetting, I was also responsible for the photo research.
Citizens Advice Annual Report
I was commissioned to design and typeset the annual report for Citizens Advice, Bicester, following their brand design guidelines. I also created the graphics such as the 3D pie-chart.
Boat International Magazine
I started my career in newspaper and magazine design. I was the advertisement designer at Boat International, and I was responsible for creating in-house and customer ads. Customers often sent in amateur photographs, which really helped hone my Photoshop skills, as I would have to make their images look like a professional shot.
